You should use quick sizer tool to determine how much memory and SAPS are required for the system. Based on that, hardware partner will suggest ( how much CPU can deliver the SAPS that you determined with quick sizer) the hardware.

Hi Gurus
We are in process to migrate our business transactions to a new productive instance, so in order to allow users to execute their responsabilities as transparent as posible, we need to créate all variants created in our actual SAP productive instance.
The SAP version for both productive instances is the same (SAP 6.0).
So, we need to know if there is a procedure to:
- Identify
- Create
- Transport (export, import)
all variants created in the actual SAP productive instance.
Please, let me know if you know a method for doing this.

There is no such tool available directly which gives you list of all the variants and you can choose and then migrate. However there are few methods using which you can transport your variant.

You can use the same or multiple TR for transporting all your variants in multiple programs.

Hello,
We would like to delete 2 years of historical data from our SAP ERP Production instance (For e.g 2000/2001). One approach is to use Archiving, but this has own challenges of covering all objects in all modules and also ensuring that the open items are closed before Archiving.
Would SLT be an approach to achieve this ? It would be good to get a link to some documentation if this is a standard feature with some customization during implementation.

The date based deletion is not supported by SAP LT software as this may lead to lot of inconsistencies in system , reasons can be many and varying based on system design.....

I could solve same problem with this way:
Right-click the install.exe file and select Properties. Click the Compatibility’tab. Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows 7 from the drop-down menu and click Apply. Run the installation as normal.

Hi Parag,
As already mentioned by sandeep, date based deletion is not supported by SAP LT software. Standard software delete the data based in company code. you can find the more details / documents at the following link:

However if you want to delete the data based on date using LT, it can be supported by SAP. Please get in touch with SAP and open a message in CA-LT-SRV component with your deatils and requirement.

SAP LAndscape Transformation(SAP SLT) is one of the data provisioning techniques, used to replicate data from one system to other withing SAP ecosystem. This is popularly used for replicating data from different SAP source system to HANA system, these days. With SLT its possible to have real time data replication into HANA i.e whenever there is change in some data in source system, it will be immediately replicated to HANA with the change and the changed data could be seen in HANA.

Further according to my understanding HANA is just a database and if intigration of Trivoli is possible with other DB then HANA will also support the same. It might be possible that Trivoli is not designed to use the max capablity of HANA DB but you can use for sure.
